Naginata pressed his hands against the glass, a calm expression on his face. His wife, Kuroi, looked at him A he paced back and forth, a concerned look on her face. She slowly stroked a kitten's fur and gazed carefully into her husband's eyes.

"What will you do as far as Luke is concerned?"

A scowl appeared on Naginata's face when that man's name was mentioned. "Why?" he asked, trying to control his anger. "Why did they raid his home knowing how helpless he was? That no one was there to stop them?"

"It's called tactics, my lord--"

"Tactics? Cowardice! They displayed sheer cowardice!"

"My lord," Kuroi said silently, trying to reason with her infuriated spouse. "You know Luke's a war criminal; and besides, you can easily heal his wounds..."

Naginata took a couple of deep breaths as his icy gaze met that of his wife's. The kitten stirred. All was silent. "Hirigani was injured, am I correct?" Naginata growled.

"You are correct, my lord," Kuroi whispered. Naginata fell silent as he quickened his pace. Finally, he stopped and pounded his hand on a book case. The case collapsed as Naginata slipped his hands in his pockets. "Disgusting," he snarled. "Dishonorable!"

Kuroi's body froze with fear, though she became accustomed to her husband's frustration. She did, however, admire him for masking his true emotions on the battlefield. "Why?" Naginata asked again, startling Kuroi. The kitten mewed and jumped out of Kuroi's lap. "Why would he go out of his way to harm his own son?"

"Hirigani was delivered by you," Kuroi whispered.

"According to Destiny, he's my brother!" Naginata rambled on, overshrouded with anger. Kuroi's eyebrows raised as she questioned him. "Delilah was the incarnate of my mother, the goddess of chaos so to speak," Naginata responded, placing one hand on the window.

"That makes Luke your... distant father, right?" Kuroi asked.

"A distant father that I will not hesitate to kill. Luke Hirigani will be brutally slain with my bare hands!" Naginata hissed, bringing his hands to his face. Kuroi obediently sat in silence as her husband cackled hysterically.
